All Post Meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month at the American Legion Post #2 Meeting Room
June’s Post meeting will take place on June 28th at 630pm, July’s Post meeting will take place on July 26th at 630pm. The Post Meeting Room has a safe and accessible entrance on the back corner of the Post building that any Post member can use with no questions asked.
The Post welcomes Dan Gillett's return as our Post Commander. We of course wish Russ Slate well as he focuses on his health. Additionally, Scott Kvammen has moved up to Senior Vice Commander. While Chuck Chambers has stepped up to being Junior Vice Commander. I have remained as Post Quartermaster. All other elected or appointed positions have been filled.
As a reminder, the Post is back to being a part of the Gun Show (June 30-July 2 at Westfair). The Post could always use more volunteers to relieve Ben Wiese, Chuck Chambers, Scott Kvammen, or myself. Yes, the Gun Show is a key fundraiser for the Post, but the Gun Show can not be our only fundraiser.
The Post is continuing to work on identifying events we can fundraise at to help our Post get more visibility in the community. Volunteers will of course be needed at those events.
